Flash Camp. It's like summer camp for grown-ups. About damn time. Welcome to the opposite of roughing it.
A pop up hotel is touching down on Sydney Harbour. Did that get your attention? Thought so. Clark Island is obviously making a strong push to become Awesome Fun Stuff ground zero this summer. So shake off your sea legs and prepare to storm the island yet again, only this time you’ll be making a stay of it. Flash Camp is the name. It’s like summer camp for grown-ups. And we say, about damn time. Think less parental permission slips, more alcoholic beverages. Seems like a best case scenario.
Let’s go ahead and touch on the finer points, like 22 canvas Flash Tents which will adorn the island. You can gaze with satisfaction over Sydney Harbour, all the while enjoying things like king sized beds with Koala mattresses, fresh linens, bamboo furniture, solar lighting, Armadillo & Co rugs and Biology Skin toiletries. You know, just a few creature comforts to tide you over. Since glamping and taking in scenery are hungry work, you’ll need to make your way to the Mess Hall. Except it’s less mess and more communal lounge and dining area commandeered by the perpetually delicious Three Blue Ducks.
No word yet on if there will be an official camp song.
And in the unlikely scenario you haven’t already packed your camping gear, please make your way to the photo gallery below…
